Reefers

Refrigerated (or reefer) containers for temperature-sensitive cargo

A refrigerated container, more commonly known as reefer containers, is an intermodal shipping container used for the transportation of temperature-sensitive cargo. Manufactured to provide a hygienic interior that is easy to clean and fitted with air curtains at the entrance of the container, reefers can maintain consistent chilled temperatures that are monitored throughout transit.

Naturally, reefers are heavily used by food manufacturers transporting fresh food items such as meat, fish or vegetables and frozen products such as ice cream. But reefers are also used by flower wholesalers who need their product to be kept fresh during transit and refrigeration is essential for the pharmaceutical industry, particularly for the transport of vaccines.
